Track All Academic 2022

Men’s & Women’s Track & Field Programs; Select Athletes Honored for Academic Success

NEW ORLEANS – Coppin State's men's and women's track & field programs were both named All-Academic Teams by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), it was announced by the organization on Wednesday evening.  To be eligible for All-Academic consideration, the team must have accumulated at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
 
Additionally, five Eagles received USTFCCCA All-Academic recognition, including Joseph Manu on the men's side, as well as Latifa Ali, Kimani Alphonse, Cathryn Lane and Shenelle Tomlinson on the women's squad. Athletes need to record at least a 3.25 cumulative grade point average while participating in an NCAA Preliminary competition or finishing in the top 96 nationally in any championship event indoors.
 
Coppin State and Howard were the only MEAC schools to be named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams.
