Manu, Coleman Receive President’s Eagle Awards to Headline 2022 Eagle ESPY Awards

BALTIMORE – Track & Field's Joseph Manu and volleyball's Miajavon Coleman received the President's Eagle Awards as Coppin State University Athletic Department held its annual Eagles ESPY Awards on Monday night at James Weldon Auditorium.  Nendah Tarke and Jaia Alexander received CSU's Male and Female Athlete of the Year Awards, respectively.
 
Men's Tennis' Sergiu Medesan and Christy Turner of the women's tennis team received the Scholar-Athlete Awards.  The Male and Female Newcomers of the Year went to Josh Hankins of the baseball team and women's basketball's Jewel Watkins.
 
The Iron Eagle award was also debuted at the annual awards show, with those honors going to baseball's Matt Day and Isabella Zalba from the softball team.
 
Additionally, each team announced their sport's Most Valuable Player, Unsung Hero and Most Improved Player awards.
