BEL AIR, MD-Women's Tennis Grabbed Their First Victory of the Season in a 7-0 Domination Over Hartford CC this Tuesday April 19th. The Eagles left the Fighting Owls winless in all sets, while leaving them scoreless in three matches.
At number one doubles, Iva Jankovic and Megan Etienne defeated Holway and Holtschnieder in a score 6-1. The second doubles duo of Kristina Georgieva and Lucia Placidi left their opponents scoreless with a 6-0 victory over Calvo Herrera and Tsomos.
Christy Turner crushed number four singles against Kuper for a score of 6-0 though both sets.
Mackenzie Jones played at number five singles where she left her opponent winless for a 6-0 victory in both of her sets.
Georgieva dominated second singles against Holaway, for a win in the first set 6-2, followed by a 6-0 win in the second set.
Placidi won her match at number three singles for a score of 6-3 in the first set, and left her opponent winless in the second set at 6-0
Jankovic grabbed a victory at first singles against Holtschnieder in a two set match. After winning the first set 6-4, she limited Holtschnieder to two games won in the second set for a 6-2 win.
