GREENSBORO, N.C. – Coppin State's Latifa Ali won the 100m dash (11.67) and took second in the 200m dash (24.17) to lead the Eagles at the Aggie Invitational on Saturday.
Saidai Stuteley and Kamillah Monroque also medaled for Coppin as Stuteley took second in the 3,000m Steeplechase in 12:03.49 while Monroque earned the bronze in the 800m Run (2:14.22).
Halutie Hor joined Ali by doubling up in the 100m dash and 200m dash where she took fourth in 11.86 and seventh in 24.82, respectively. Cathryn Lane also ran in a pair of events, clocking a 25.83 in the 200m dash and 58.80 in the 400m dash.
Kimani Alphonse and Shenelle Tomlinson both place in the top ten in the 400m dash with Alphonse placing fifth in 54.29 while Tomlinson clocked a 56.01 to take ninth.
In the 400m hurdles, Kaelyn Woodrum and Destinee Mcleod came in right after another with Woodrum finishing in 1:05.10, just ahead Mcleod in 1:05.44. Erin Palmer and Olivia Wright also competed in the 100m hurdles and clocked in at 16.13 and 16.96.
The Eagles return to the track on April 15-16 for the Norfolk State Invitational.
