Philadelphia, PA.-Vansh Kapoor led the Eagles with a win in third singles to mark his fourth singles win of the season as Coppin fell to St Josephs 6-1 on Monday April 11. The Eagles are now 1-11 for the season and remain 1-3 in conference play.
In singles play, Kapoor matched up against Santay at number three doubles for a lengthy three set match. After doubling his opponents' points in the first set for a win at 6-3, Kapoor dropped the second set at 6-4. The match was brought to a tiebreaker, where Santay came out the gate strong with a 5-1 lead. It wasn't until long before Kapoor made five game run to take the lead, which resulted in a 10-8 win in the third set for Kapoor.
Luka Markovic faced Nickolas Frisk in second singles where he totaled five wins in a two set loss.
Dean Waterman won three games in a loss at number four singles. Sergiu Medesan Faced off at number one singles
The Coppin duo of Sergiu Medesan and Luka Markovic faced up against Nathan Perrone and Nickolas Frisk at first doubles. A pair of wins for the eagles duo resulted in a 6-2 match loss. Kapoor and Dean Waterman won a game in number two doubles against Alp Sentay and Justus Agbo in a loss at 6-1.
