Kristina Georgieva Named MEAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week

NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's Kristina Georgieva was named the MEAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.  This is the first weekly honor of Georgieva's career at Coppin.
 
A junior from Sutton, England, Georgieva won both her singles and doubles matches at Mount St. Mary's last week. Georgieva paired with Megan Etienne in a 6-4 doubles win in the third slot before picking up a 7-6, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles over Riya Mathur.
 
The Eagles are set to return on February 19 in a match at Lafayette.
