GREENSBORO, N.C. – Coppin State's
Latifa Ali won the 200m and 400m dash at the Aggie Classic hosted by North Carolina A&T this weekend at Irwin Belk Track. Full results are still not available due to issues with the timing service due to inclement weather.
A sophomore from Kumasi, Ghana, Ali took the 200m dash in an unofficial time of 24.0 and the 400m dash in 54.92.
Kimani Alphonse followed Ali in the 200m dash in 24.6 to finish fourth, while
Shenelle Tomlinson place sixth in 24.9.
Alanna Newby competed in both the shot put, where she finished fourth with a toss of 40' 8.25," and the discus (108' 9").
Kamillah Monroque finished eighth in the 800m Run in 2:18.46 while fellow middle-distance runner
Saidai Stuteley clocked a 2:39.74 in the event, as well as a 5:21.12 in the 1,500m.
Angel Davis doubled up in the 100m dash (13.23) and 200m dash (27.5).
