Ogundeko & Constantine Win Heats in Opening Day of Rod McCravy Invitational

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Coppin State's Tatiana Ogundeko and Claudina Constantine won their heats of the 600m dash to lead the women's track & field team in the opening day of the Rod McCravy Invitational, hosted at the University of Kentucky's Nutter Field House on Friday afternoon.
 
Running on a 290m track, Ogundeko completed the just-over-two-lap 600 meters in 1:34.48 to win her heat and finish 11th overall. Ogundeko's time bested her mark in the event from last weekend by over seven seconds.  Constantine took a full second off her time from six days ago in 1:37.52.
 
Elsewhere on the track, Jasmine Henery set a personal record in the 200m dash with a time of 25.06. 
 
In the long jump, Tre'J Johnson finished 18th with a leap of 5.14m (16' 10.5")

1:30 pm: 400m Dash (Alphonse, Henery, Lane)
