TOWSON, Md. – Coppin State's women's track & field team recorded eight top five finishes as the Eagles took fifth of 19 schools at the Towson Invitational on Saturday at Johnny Unitas Stadium.
Ivonna Hoskins and
Randi Bohler took bronze in the 200m dash (25.33) and 100m hurdles (14.59), respectively, marking the lone CSU athletes who medaled. Bohler and Hoskins also teamed with
Cathryn Lane and
Aaliyah Williams in the 4x100m Relay which took third in 48.00.
Erykah Jerome in the 400m dash (57.63),
Tatiana Ogundeko in the 800m Run (2:15.01) and the 4x400m Relay (3:56.02) of Lane, Ogundeko,
Janee Quailes and Hoskins just missed out on medaling with fourth place finishes.
Alanna Newby and
Aidan Alston rounded out the top five finishes as both took fifth in the shot put (42-8.75) and javelin (118-1), respectively.
Also scoring points for CSU on the day was
Jasmine Henery in the 400m hurdles (1:05.62), Newby in the discus (131-7), Lane in the 200m dash (25.60), Hoskins in the 400m dash (58.23) and Bohler in the long jump (16-5.75).
