Ogundeko runs 4x4 at Penn State

Newby & Ogundeko Medal for Women’s Track & Field at VCU

RICHMOND, Va. – Alanna Newby and Tatiana Ogundeko captured silver medals in the discus and 800m Run, respectively, to lead the Coppin State women's track & field team at the VCU Rams Invite this weekend.
 
Newby tossed the discus a personal-record 131-2 to take second place overall in the event, highlighting a day where she also threw the shot put 40-8.75. 
 
Ogundeko ran the 800m in 2:16.34 and she also ran a leg of the 4x400m Relay that finished in 4:07.40, along with Ivonna Hoskins, Janee Quailes and Cathryn Lane.
 
Hoskins and Quailes doubled up in the 200 and 400m dashes with Hoskins leading the way in 26.20 and 59.47.  Quailes finished the events in times of 27.41 and 59.74. Lane paced CSU in the 400m dash in 58.98.
 
Also doubling up on the track was Aaliyah Williams in the 100m dash (12.69) and 200m dash (27.32).
 
Randi Bohler also competed in a pair of events, clocking a 15.24 in the 100m hurdles while leaping 17-3.25 in the long jump.
 
Elsewhere in field events, Ariyana Larkins threw the discus 109-7 while Aidan Alston launched the javelin 105-5.
