LANDOVER, Md. – Coppin State's women's track & field team finished ninth of 12 teams at the 2019 MEAC Indoor Track & Field Championships held at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex Thursday-Saturday afternoon.
Kristen Deacon had the top overall performance by a Lady Eagle, taking fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 56' 8.75."
Three other Eagles scored points from their respective field events as
Aidan Alston took fifth in the pole vault (9' 0.25"),
Randi Bohler finished fifth in the long jump (17' 9.50") and
Alanna Newby placed sixth in the shot put with a personal-record toss of 42' 9.50."
Tatiana Ogundeko was the only track performer to score for Coppin State as she took sixth in the Mile with a time of 5:12.19.
Bohler also competed in the pentathlon where she scored 2,688 points to finish 13
th. Her performance was highlighted by a second place finish in the long jump (17' 7") and a personal-record in the shot put (30' 9").
Also on the track,
Cathryn Lane ran in the 60m dash (8.06) and 200m dash (26.75) while
Ivonna Hoskins ran the 400m dash in 59.97. The duo, as well as Ogundeko and
Jasmine Henery made up the 4x400m Relay that finished in 4:08.01.
