Coppin Contributors
Dejuan Clayton leads the squad at 14.6 points per game but his 19.3 average in conference games is second in the MEAC.  Clayton also averages nearly three rebounds and five assists and has made 75-of-99 free throws (both lead MEAC) in conference games.  After a 35 point outburst at North Carolina A&T, Lamar Morgan is now averaging 10.9 points and he's rapidly approaching the CSU Top Ten List for 3-pointers despite playing in just his second season.  The frontcourt duo of Cedric Council and Chad Andrews-Fulton are both averaging nearly six rebounds per night while Andrews-Fulton has picked up his scoring as of late as is putting up nearly 10 points per game in conference play.  Kent Auslander has also been on a roll as of late, averaging 13.6 points in the last five games, including a career-high 20 points at Savannah State with six 3-pointers.  The Eagles rotation has consistently been 10 to 11 players throughout the season so guys like Taqwain Drummond, Justin Steers, Nigel Marshall, Lucian Brownlee, Ibn Williams, Brendan Medley-Bacon and Giir Ring should all see valuable minutes.

Scouting Howard
The Bison have a trio of players that can light it up offensively with RJ Cole, Charles Williams and Chad Lott.  Overall this season, Cole leads the MEAC with 21.3 points and 6.3 assists while also ranking fourth with 1.6 steals per contest. Williams is just behind Cole in scoring with 18.7 points while shooting at a 44.1% clip.  The duo has combined for 110 3-pointers.  Add in Chad Lott to the mix who ranks seventh in the conference in scoring at 14.8 points and that is up there as good as a trio in the Nation.  Howard will need to also get contributions elsewhere and have gotten that in Zion Cousins who ranks fifth in the conference at 7.5 rebounds per game, as well as Akuwovo Ogheneyole and Andre Toure.

Series History
This will be the 67th meeting all-time between the two programs with Coppin holding a commanding 43-23 lead in the series.  The teams have split the last four matchups with the Bison winning the last two, but the Eagles are 22-9 against Howard at home.
