DAVIDSON, N.C. – Kamar McKnight scored 17 points and
Koby Thomas recorded his first double-double as an Eagle but Davidson College shot a whopping 52.3% from the field and 41.9% from deep to defeat the Eagles, 88-52, on Tuesday night at Belk Arena.

- Kamar McKnight led Coppin with 17 points while Koby Thomas notched his first double-double as an Eagle with 12 points and a season-high 12 rebounds.
- Aaron Robinson and Andrew Robinson had six points apiece, making a pair of threes a piece.
- Coppin was outshot, 52.3% to 33.3% and Davidson was credited with 26 assists on its 34 field goals and turned it over just five times. The Wildcats made 13-of-31 (41.9%) shots from distance.

How it Happened
- Both teams started off cold, combining to shoot 3-of-17 at the first media timeout. However, Davidson heated up and maintained the hot shooting, going 16-for-23 (69.6%) the rest of the half.
- A jumper in the paint by Brendan Medley-Bacon tied the score at 4-4, but the Wildcats responded with back-to-back 3-pointers to start a 12-0 run.
- Kamar McKnight stopped the drought for the Eagles with a three, ending a 3:19 spurt. Following a Davidson miss, Koby Thomas grabbed the rebound and went coast-to-coast for an old-fashioned three-point play, making it a 16-9 score with just over 11 minutes in the period.
- Following the media timeout, the hosts extended their lead with an 8-0 run to make it, 24-10.
- The Robinson twins started to heat up from long range, helping Coppin pull to within 31-22 with three 3-pointers, including a pair by Aaron Robinson.
- A layup by Thomas with 3:26 left were the final points for CSU in the half as Davidson closed the period on a 12-0 run and led 43-22 at the break.
- The Wildcats continued their hot shooting on their home court in the second making just under 50% and led by as many as 37.
