Biography

2019-20 (Graduate Student): Played in 26 games while starting in eight and averaged 23.2 minutes per game… Put up 5.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game along with 20 assists, three blocks and 15 steals... Shot 30.8% from the field and 38-of-137 (27.7%) from 3-point range… Scored at least ten points in four games and had at least five rebounds in five games… Had multiple 3-pointers in 12 games… Opened the season with 15 points while making five 3-pointers against Rider… Scored career-high 20 points while making 7-of-12 from the field and 6-of-10 from deep in win at James Madison… Followed that effort with 11 points, season-high six rebounds, two assists and two steals and was named MEAC Player of the Week… Had another 11-point, six rebound effort the very next game in win at East Carolina… Missed five games due to injury and returned to action for Senior Day against Delaware State with six points on pair of 3-pointers… Chipped in with six points at Morgan State and closed the season with nine points on three 3-pointers at Maryland Eastern Shore.

Prior to Coppin: Played three seasons at Quinnipiac University where he played in 66 games with a pair of starts... Averaged 3.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in those years to go with 44 assists, 23 steals and a pair of blocks... Scored 3.4 points with 2.0 rebounds as a junior where he reached double figures in five games including a career-high 15 points with five 3-pointers at UMass (11/28/18)... Took a redshirt as a sophomore during the 2016-17 season...Three-time member of the MAAC All-Academic Team.

High School: Played at Springbrook High School, earning All-Sentinel honors, as well as first-team all-county accolades.... Averaged 10.8 points and 3.8 rebounds while connecting on 48 three-pointers for the season ... Helped the Blue Devils earn a regional championship and reach the state semifinals ... Hit five three-pointers in a regional semifinal win ... Played one prep season at Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut ... Had 43 points in one contest for Putnam Science and eight three-pointers in another ... Helped Putnam Science to an Independent Conference championship and a national finals appearance. 

Personal: Twin brother, Andrew, also played on the Quinnipiac men's basketball team ... Older brother, Billy Edelin, played basketball at Syracuse, where he won a national title before playing professionally in Belgium ... Has an uncle who played college football at Maryland and played in the NFL for the Oakland Raiders, earning a Super Bowl title ... Has another uncle who played football at Delaware State ... Has participated in several community service events, including speaking to New Haven high school students about the life of a student athlete and the importance of education, as well as reading to elementary school students... Recipient of Coppin's Robert and Linda Isaman Scholarship.
