Erykah Jerome Leads Women’s Track & Field in Final Day at Penn State

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Erykah Jerome recorded personal records in both the 200m and 400m Dash to lead the Coppin State women's track & field team in the second day of the Penn State National Open Saturday afternoon.
 
Jerome finished fourth overall in the 400m Dash with a time of 57.81 while also leading the Eagles in the 200m (25.82), an indoor PR time.
 
Also in the sprints, Cathryn Lane finished the 200m Dash in 26.17 while Jasmine Henery and Ivonna Hoskins finished the 400m Dash in 1:00.76 and 1:02.16, respectively.
 
Tatiana Ogundeko wrapped it up for the track performers with a 2:23.39 in the 800m Run.
 
In field events, Tre'J Johnson leaped 17' 11.75" in the long jump while Kristen Deacon tossed the shot put an event 40 feet.  Randi Bohler and Alanna Newby also competed in the long jump and shot put and put together efforts of 17-6.25 and 39-6.5.
 
Coppin returns to the track on Saturday, February 2 at Boston University's Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational.
