COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Coppin State women's tennis team opens its 2018 Fall Season at the Bedford Cup Mid-Atlantic Championships held at JTCC September 14-17. The Eagles will be matched up against individuals from Georgetown, George Washington University, Maryland, Towson, Virginia Commonwealth and Virginia Tech.
In singles play,
Brittanie Cahua has been matched up against top-seeded Maria Siopacha of George Washington University while
Shariah Dunwell takes on second-seeded Melissa Bayraktaroglu, also of GW.
Also competing in singles competition are
Precious Udofe, who drew Towson's Alexa Martinez,
Ajla Hrnjic who will take on GW's Victoria Kogan, and
Tinashe Gwaze against Renee Repella of Georgetown.
Udofe and Hrnjic will also pair up in doubles completion against the duo of Siopacha and Bayraktaroglu of GW who are the top seed. Cahua and Gwaze are matched up against Maryland's Anastasia Gevel and Zoe Kulkarni.
