Women’s Track Competes in Final Tuneup Before MEACs

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Coppin State's women's track & field team competed at the Fastrack National Invite at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Friday in its final tuneup before next weekend's MEAC Championships.
On the track, Tatiana Ogundeko led the way with a 5:13.52 performance in the mile while the 4x400m Relay team of Anthinese Barker, Erielle Wallace, Erykah Jerome and Jasmine Henery took third in 3:53.37.
Henery also competed individually in the 400m Dash and finished in 1:00.45. 
Astahia Wells ran in both the 60m dash (8.43) and 200m dash (26.72).
Tre'J Johnson led the Eagles in the horizontal jumps, leaping 17' 4.25" in the long jump and 38' 9" in the triple jump with Randi Bohler just behind in 17' 2.75" and 35' 7.25".
Alanna Newby had a pair of solid tosses with a 36' 4.75" effort in the shot put followed by a 39' 1" performance in the weight throw.
Savanah Forte also cleared 3.05m in the pole vault, equating to 10' 0".
