BALTIMORE, Md. – Coppin State will continue its end of the year road trip when it travels to Dover, Delaware and Princess Anne, Maryland this weekend. The Eagles have already secured a spot in the MEAC Tournament two weekends from now, and will look to improve upon its current seeding of #4 in the North Division.

- Coppin State has reached the 10-win mark for the fourth time in school history. The Eagles join the 2012, 2013, and 2014 squads to notch that many victories.
- CSU reached double-digit wins despite being the youngest team in the NCAA this season, with 11 freshman, one sophomore, two juniors and one senior.
- The Lady Eagles have clinched a spot in the MEAC Tournament, which will be held inside Burr Gymnasium on the campus of Howard University. The first round begins on Friday November 16 and will conclude with the championship game at 8 p.m. on Sunday November 18.
- Miajavon Coleman is making waves in her freshman year, as she is 62nd in the country in total kills (368), which currently places her tied for fourth in school history for a single season.
- Coleman is on pace to have one of the best offensive freshman seasons in program history as she is currently on track to finish inside the top five for kills per set (3.57), total points (394) and attack attempts (943) to go along with total kills.
- Brianna Lang joins Coleman in record-breaking freshman campaigns, as she is third at-the-moment in total assists in a season with (913), had a single-game Coppin State record 64 assists against North Carolina Central and she has already broken the record for most assists as a freshman.
- Lang has become the first Lady Eagle volleyball player to accumulate 900 assists and 200 digs in an individual season.
- Junior Christa Johnson is heading for a place inside the top three in blocks for a season, as she has 80 blocks presently with two games and the MEAC Tournament still to play. Johnson needs one more to move into third place among the all-time CSU block leaders.
- Asia Stennis is 7th all-time amongst Eagles players with 640 kills in her career.
- Freshman Libero Chelsie Kolibar pushed her way into the Coppin records, placing tenth as of November 6 in digs for a single season (293).
Scouting the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks
- UMES is playing like the conference favorite that it was projected to be before the season. They have reeled off three straight MEAC victories, which included handing Howard its first conference loss of the year in Washington D.C. its last time out.
- Maryland Eastern Shore will put pressure on its opponents from the service line, as it is the 13th best team in America with 1.70 aces per set. The Hawks are led in that category by Ivana Blazevic (0.42) and Lucia Babic (0.41) who both rank inside the top-50 nationally.
- The Hawks as a unit third in collective hitting percentage (.205), and fourth in blocks per set (1.82) in the MEAC in 2018.
- Babic, the Preseason MEAC Player of the Year, is the star on The Shore as she is among the top contributors in hitting percentage (.261), kills per set (3.70), and points per set (4.34) to go along with her propensity for aces.
- Reigning MEAC Defensive Specialist of the Week Koya Sowells places eighth in the conference in digs per set with 3.24, Blazevic is fourth in assists per set (8.06), and Rachel Kayongo sits tenth in both kills per set (2.71) as well as points per set (3.16).
Scouting the Delaware State Hornets
- DSU has been unable to provide a W for the Hornets faithful since September 21 and are currently riding 11-game losing skid. Its only victories of the campaign have come against MEAC South competitors North Carolina A&T and South Carolina State.
- Delaware State excels at service aces similar to UMES, as its strongest asset is watching serves hit the court. The Hornets rank inside the top-35 in the country with 1.55 aces per set, with setter Milexa Cardona the ringleader with 32 in total.
- Cardona places herself eighth in the conference in assists per set (6.86), while Leimaluhia Taula is the other Hornet to grace the MEAC leader boards, residing at ninth in digs per set (2.92).
- Mayah Ngundam paces DSU in kills per set (2.03) and total blocks (42), with Kiera Holtzclaw sharing the block lead with 42 of her own.
