LEXINGTON, Ky. – Coppin State men's track and field opened day one of the NCAA East Preliminary Championships on Thursday, May 25
th.
Freshman
Joseph Amoah was fifth in his heat placing 33
rd overall with a time of 10.48 in the first round of the 100 meters while senior
Michael James was seventh in his heat placing 43
rd overall with a time of 1:54.09 in the first round of the 800 meters. James concludes his career as an Eagle with the second fastest time in school history in the 800 meter event (1:49.16). Amoah has the school record in the 100 meters (10.24).

th at 7:55 pm.
Sophomore Khemani Roberts of the women's track and field team competes on Friday, May 26
th at 4:30 pm in the high jump.
