Amoah and James Competes at NCAA Outdoor Track & Field East Regionals

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Coppin State men's track and field opened day one of the NCAA East Preliminary Championships on Thursday, May 25th.
 
Freshman Joseph Amoah was fifth in his heat placing 33rd overall with a time of 10.48 in the first round of the 100 meters while senior Michael James was seventh in his heat placing 43rd overall with a time of 1:54.09 in the first round of the 800 meters. James concludes his career as an Eagle with the second fastest time in school history in the 800 meter event (1:49.16). Amoah has the school record in the 100 meters (10.24).
 
Amoah prepares for the men's 200 meter race on Friday, May 26th at 7:55 pm.
 
Sophomore Khemani Roberts of the women's track and field team competes on Friday, May 26th at 4:30 pm in the high jump.
