Martin Owusu-Antwi Tabbed MEAC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week

NORFOLK, Va. – Sophomore sprinter Martin Owusu-Antwi earned his first outright Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference men's track athlete of the week, announced on Wednesday, February 1, 2017.
 
Martin Owusu-Antwi placed second overall at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational in Boston with a personal-best time of 20.95 seconds in the 200. The Ghana native broke his previous school record set last week and currently ranks 15th on the NCAA Indoor List and leads the MEAC in the 200. In the men's 60-meter event, Owusu-Antwi placed third overall at 6.88 seconds and ranks fifth in the MEAC.
 
Last week he was named Co-Men's Track Athlete of the Week for his performance at the NYC Gotham Cup.
