London and James Set Records at Boston Last Chance Meet

BOSTON- Coppin State two individual winners at the Boston University Last Chance Meet at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center in Boston, MA Sunday, February 28.
 
Senior Deandra Daniel captured her fourth first place finish on the season with a season best leap of 1.80m.
 
Freshman Steven Thomas finished first in the shot put event with a throw of 15.10m, his second best toss of the season.
 
Thomas also placed fourth in the weight throw event with a distance of 15.58m.
 
Sophomore Mark London and junior Michael James moved into second and third all-time in the Coppin State Men's Indoor track records for the 800m event.
 
London placed second in the event with a time of 1:49.21. James finished fifth in the 800m event with a time of 1:49.70.
 
Alaric Coker and Ronaldo Ball recorded top 10 finishes and season best times in the 800m event, coming in seventh and ninth respectively.
 
Senior Shane Green came in fourth in the triple jump event with a leap of 15.39m, his second best distance of the season.
 
Haysean Cowie-Clarke finished seventh in the 60m-dash event with a time of 6.93.
 
Coppin State will return to action this weekend March 4-6 for the ECAC Championships in Boston, MA at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center.
