•   Coppin State was upset by Chestnut Hill in their season home opener on Monday, despite a season-high scoring performance from freshman
Dejuan Clayton. He scored 17 of his game-high 19 points in the second half but the Eagles late rally came up just shy 76-73.
•   The Eagles have opened the season with eight consecutive losses, Coppin State's worst start to a season since 2005-06, when the Eagles went 0-12 but finished strong in MEAC play finishing 12-6 in league play.
•   Coppin State ranks 10th in the nation in 3-pt field goal attempts (194), 12th in total rebounds (297) and 15th in free-throw attempts (190). The Eagles lead the MEAC in free-throw attempts while ranking second in 3-pt field goal attempts, free-throws made (116), total 3-point field goals made (56) and in total rebounds.

The Eagles continue their four game road trip beginning the month of December against Clemson on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. The Tigers lead the all-time series with the Eagles 2-0. The teams last met on Nov. 21, 2005 in Clemson where the Tigers won 102-71.

Tre' Thomas added 16 points with three three-pointers. Despite outscoring Chestnut Hill in the second half Coppin State finished with a season-high 20 turnovers with 15 coming in the first half.

Tre' Thomas were inserted into the starting lineup after the Utah game and have been posting double-figure scoring over the last three games. 11.0 ppg. Clayton has been the Eagles top scorer in three games and was their top assister in five games this season. Thomas made five shots from the field vs. Ball State and then made six at home versus Chestnut Hill.
