Shane Green was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men's Field Athlete of the Week, announced by the conference office on Wednesday, January 13
th.
Shane Green and the Coppin State Eagles men's track and field team traveled to Staten Island, NY last weekend and competed at the Villanova Open. The Brooklyn native was CSU's only individual winner at the meet with a first place finish in the triple jump event.
Green leaped 14.96m marking the second-highest mark in the triple jump event in the MEAC this season. Hampton's Trey Holloway and Ce'aira Brown was selected as the MEAC Men's and Women's Track Athletes of the Week, while Siobhan Ford-Holland was named the MEAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week.
The men's track and field team at Coppin State will participate in the Maryland Invitational for their next competition on Saturday January 16 in Landover, MD.?
