SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Coppin State softball team dropped a pair of games to Harvard and USC-Upstate by scores of 8-0 and 14-1, respectively.
Through two games,
Candice Van Horn and
Shelby Mendoza recorded two hits apiece for the Eagles (0-11) with a hit in each game. In the loss against the Spartans,
Danielle Smith began the game with a leadoff home run. Oashaja Dobie also had a hit.
Through 12 games,
Alanna Williams and Van Horn have reached base seven consecutive times. Oashaja Dobie is close behind with six straight games getting on base.
Coppin State heads back to Winthrop to conclude the Adidas Invitational back at Winthrop against Austin Peay at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
