ROCK HILL, S.C. – Coppin State's softball squad fell 9-3 to Wagner during the first day of the Adidas Invitational hosted by Winthrop Friday afternoon.
Juniors

Alanna Williams put the Eagles (0-10) on the board in the third inning, both scoring on errors. Senior shortstop
Candice Van Horn homered over left center field. She had two hits, one run and an RBI on the day.
Junior Oashaja Dobie and senior
Samantha Denlinger shared responsibility on the mound and tallied two strikeouts apiece.
Coppin State heads to nearby Spartanburg to face Harvard and USC-Upstate Saturday at noon and 2 p.m., respectively. The Eagles will finish out the tournament Sunday against Austin Peay at 10 a.m. at Winthrop.
