Biography

2015 (Junior): Played in 34 games and started each contest. Finished the season with a .235 batting average. He was one of three Coppin State players to record at least 30 hits. He tied for second on the team with 31 hits. Kraft also led the Eagles with three home runs. He hit a game-winning home run against Delaware State in the bottom of the sixth inning to key a 5-4 victory on April 11. He tied for the team lead with 19 walks and led CSU with 19 RBIs. He scored 16 runs and had three doubles. Kraft had eight multi-hit games and led the Eagles with six multi-RBI games. He drove in a career best four runs against Delaware State on March 21. Opened the season by getting a hit in Coppin State’s first eight games. He also had a streak of reaching base in 17 straight games. Kraft had two hits and scored two runs in a loss against Navy on April 1. During a loss against Norfolk State on April 18, Kraft had both of Coppin State’s hits. He made two appearances as a pitcher and compiled a 2.25 earned run average. He made his first career start against Towson and allowed one run over three innings. Kraft also recorded two strikeouts in that outing. He struck out the side in a one-inning appearance against Wofford on March 17.

2014 (Sophomore): He helped Coppin State qualify for the MEAC baseball tournament. Had 35 starts in 37 appearances. He was second on the team with 39 hits and a .307 batting average. He tallied nine multiple hit games and scored 17 runs. Led the Eagles with 25 RBIs and a .386 on-base percentage. He tied for the team-high with a nine-game hitting streak with 12 hits. Kraft had a stretch in which he reached base in 17 consecutive games. He had nine multiple hit games and four games where he drove in at least two RBIs. His best performance of the season came against UMES March 15 where he scored two runs, had three hits, and drove home five RBIs. Kraft tripled twice against Winthrop on Feb. 22. He hit .500 during the MEAC tournament (5-for-10). Ended the season with two hits against Delaware State and three against Florida A&M.

High School Attended Nutley High School Nutley, N.J….pitched and played the outfield for the Raiders and won two varsity letters…was an all-area selection in 2011…also selected for the Essex County All-Star team.
