2016 (Freshman): Appeared in 16 games (11 starts), posting a 5-4 record with a 4.81 ERA…struck out 62 and walked 41 over 76.2 innings pitched…allowed 61 runs and 18 extra-base hits…was named MEAC Rookie of the Week (3/21), MEAC Pitcher of the Week (3/28) and College Sports Madness MEAC Player of the Week (3/22)…led the Eagles in wins (5), strike outs, and innings pitched…ranked third in the MEAC in innings pitched, tied for eighth in batters struck out…was the only Coppin State pitcher to go complete a game; twice against Delaware State and Maryland Eastern Shore (9.0 IP)…Final win of the season eliminated Delaware State from the 2016 MEAC Baseball Tournament…Negron went 5.1 innings, striking out six batters, walking four and only giving up one earned run
