Biography

Career Highlights: Became just the second Coppin State player to strike out more than 200 batters (207) and did so in just 212.2 innings (5th in CSU history)… Second in school-history in appearances (63), eighth in starts (27), seventh in relief appearances (36) and seventh in wins (10).
 
2019 (Senior): College Baseball’s Arthur Ashe Sports Scholar of the Year… One of 30 finalists for Senior CLASS Award… One of the top swing-and-miss pitchers in the conference, striking out 71 batters in just 63.0 innings of work… Finished 3-5 with a 4.57 ERA while holding batters to a .245 average… Fanned 50 batters in 43.1 innings during conference play…. Had five or more strikeouts in eight appearances with a season-high nine in 5.2 innings against Albany… Also struck out nine in 5.1 innings against Norfolk State… Recorded eight strikeouts in back-to-back outings at Norfolk State and vs. Maryland Eastern Shore.

2018 (Junior): 2nd Team All-MEAC at starting pitcher… 1x MEAC Pitcher of the Week… Finished the season with a 6-4 record and a league-best 2.66 earned run average which is best in school-history for a single season… Made 11 starts with two complete games and 13 appearances on the mound… Recorded one shutout… Struck out 81 batters, which is the second-most in CSU single-season history, in 71.0 innings of work and held batters to just a .221 batting average… Even better in conference play, going 5-2 with a 1.75 earned run average… Fanned 54 batters in 51.1 innings of work and held batters to just a .191 batting average… Earned the win at North Carolina A&T in season opening doubleheader, striking out five and allowing just two runs (2/18)… Struck out nine in just 4.2 innings against Fordham (3/10)… Threw complete game, two-hit shutout against Delaware State where he struck out nine and was subsequently named the MEAC Pitcher of the Week (3/25)… Pitched six shutout innings in win over Maryland Eastern Shore (4/6)… Struck out a career-high ten batters in just 6.0 innings in win over Norfolk State (4/21)… Allowed no earned runs in 8.0 innings while striking out eight in victory over Delaware State (4/28)… Fanned nine and allowed just one earned run on four hits in 7.0 innings at Norfolk State (5/5)… Took a no-decision in MEAC Tournament against Florida A&M, allowing just one earned run in 4.2 innings while striking out eight.
