BALTIMORE, Md. – Coppin State head track & field coach
Carl Hicks has announced the 2026-27 indoor track & field schedule, featuring eight meets across the East Coast and Midwest, including the MEAC Indoor Championships and a pair of championship opportunities in March.
The indoor campaign gets underway on December 5 at the Youree Spence-Garcia Invitational, hosted by St. John's at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y.
Following the holiday break, the squad returns to action on January 8 at the VCU Ram Indoor Invite in Virginia Beach, Va., before heading to New York for the HBCU Showcase Presented by Nike Running on January 16 at The Armory.
The month of January concludes with one of the premier regular-season competitions on the schedule, as the team travels for the Penn State National Open on January 30-31.
February brings championship season, beginning with the ECAC/IC4A Indoor Track & Field Championships on February 6-7 at the BU Track & Tennis Center in Boston, Mass. Postseason continues on February 21-22 with the MEAC Indoor Championships at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
March features two additional championship meets. The HBCU Indoor Track & Field Championship is scheduled for March 5 at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville, Ky. The indoor season is slated to conclude at the NCAA Indoor Championships, held on March 12-13 at the Randal Tyson Center in Fayetteville, Ark.
