NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's
Khali Horton was named the MEAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. This is the first weekly honor that Horton has received this season.
In last week's game at Georgetown, Horton hit 5-of-9 3-pointers and scored a team-high 18 points to go with two rebounds, two assists and two steals. For the season, Horton is averaging 8.1 points and 1.9 rebounds while shooting an impressive 41.9% from deep with 31 made 3-pointers which ranks second in the MEAC.
CSU opens MEAC play on Saturday, January 3 at Delaware State, starting at approximately 4:30 pm on ESPN+.
