BALTIMORE – Highlighted by five non-conference home games, including a visit by defending National Champion, LSU, Coppin State's women's basketball schedule for the 2023-24 was revealed today by head coach
Jermaine Woods.
The Eagles open the season with back-to-back home games against La Salle (Nov. 6) and Campbell (Nov. 9) before making a four-game road trip with trips to Saint Francis, Syracuse, Florida International and Pittsburgh. CSU also hosts George Mason (Nov. 26) and North Florida (Dec. 4) and will close out the month of December by hosting the LSU Tigers on Wednesday, December 20, and traveling to Duke on December 28.
Coppin will play all seven MEAC schools in a home-and-home, opening conference play with a trip to Delaware State on January 6. The Eagles host Maryland Eastern Shore two days later and welcome crosstown rival Morgan State to PEC Arena on January 20.
To close out the month of January, CSU travels to Norfolk State before hosting 2023 MEAC Champions, Howard, on January 29. In February, Delaware State comes to West Baltimore on February 17 and the Eagles welcome Norfolk State for Homecoming on Saturday, February 24.
Wrapping up the regular season, Coppin hosts North Carolina Central on March 2 and South Carolina State on March 4 before traveling to Morgan State in the finale on Thursday, March 7. The MEAC Tournament will be played at Norfolk Scope Arena from March 13-16.
