BOSTON, Mass. – Several Eagles set personal-records as the Coppin State men's track & field team competed at Boston University's Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational on Friday.
Noxroy Wright took fifth in the 200m dash in a personal-record 21.27, shaving hundredths off his MEAC-leading time in the event.
James Bell also recorded a top five performance, finishing fourth in the high jump after clearing 6' 6.75."
Bryce Pepukayi doubled up in the 60m (6.99) and 200m dash (21.85), setting a personal record in both events.
A trio of Eagles performed well in the 800m Run with
Amadou Ba leading the way in 1:52.21.
Jayeed Norbal recorded a personal record 1:55.10, followed by
Randy Serville in 1:57.15.
Daniel Cunningham and
Rashaun Stewart led Coppin in the 400m dash in times of 48.71 and 48.79, respectively, followed by
Ivan Wiggins-Ingram (50.86) and
Amiri Goode (52.10).
Anthony Harris advanced to the finals of the 60m hurdles and finished ninth in 8.59 before clocking a 22.35 in the 200m dash. Goode (8.80) finished just ahead of Wiggins-Ingram (8.93) in the 60m hurdles while
Cole Schlotterbeck doubled in the 60m dash (7.30) and 200m dash (22.72).
The Eagles are back on the track on February 19-21 for the MEAC Indoor Championships at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
