NORFOLK, Va. – Joseph Manu took first in the 100m dash and third in the 200m dash to lead the Coppin State men's track & field team at the Norfolk State Invitational on Saturday.
A senior from Accra, Ghana, Manu clocked a 10.27 in the 100m dash to edge out a pair of NSU runners by .01 and .02, respectively. Manu later ran a 21.16 in the 200m to take third overall.
Mauriel Carty was also impressive in the 200m dash, finishing fifth in 21.28.
Bryce Pepukayi doubled up in the 100m dash (10.90) and 200m dash (22.12) while
Jervonne Agard clocked a 23.24 and 53.08 in the 200m and 400m dash, respectively.
Rounding out the competitors for the Eagles was
Jayeed Norbal who clocked a 1:59.58 in the 800m Run.
The Eagles will next compete in the Morgan State Legacy meet on April 22-23.
