MILLSBORO, Del. – Coppin State's bowling team finished 7
th of nine schools at MEAC Meet #1 this past weekend, going 3-5 overall with 7,691 total pins, averaging out to 170.9 per game.
The Eagles opened the Tournament strong with back-to-back wins over nationally-ranked Monmouth (937-903) and Morgan State (884-882) before falling to Maryland Eastern Shore. After posting an 860 in it's Bye, Coppin fell to UAB, 1,001-883.
On Saturday, the Navy & Gold dropped baker matches to Delaware State, 1,029-779, Howard, 930-854 and North Carolina A&T, 914-783 before closing the weekend out with a 874-687 win over Norfolk State.
CSU returns to action on November 19-20 when it hosts the Lady Eagles Invitational at AMF Woodlawn Lanes in Baltimore, Md.
