SMYRNA, Del. – Amadou Ba and
Jahmei Wyatt led the Coppin State men's & women's cross teams at the MEAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning at the Delaware State Research & Outreach Center. The men finished eighth in the team standings while the women placed seventh.
Ba placed 21
st overall in the 8K with a time of 28:05.9 to pace the Eagles while the men's squad featured four other sprinters. Leading the bunch was
Jervonne Agard (33:48), followed by
Jayeed Norbal (33:55.4),
Ivan Wiggins-Ingram (35:31.4) and
Amiri Goode (35:56.6).
Wyatt just missed out on All-Conference accolades as she placed 19
th in the 5K with a time of 20:35.9. The 15
th place time was clocked at 20:07.2. Wyatt was followed by
Saidai Stuteley in 21:56.7.
Sprinters
Shenelle Tomlinson (23:16.5),
Brianna Benton (23:38.4) and
Destinee Mcleod (28:14.7) rounded out the five competitors for the Eagles.
