BALTIMORE – Coppin State's bowling team received votes in the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) final poll which was released late last week. Earlier this season, the Eagles also earned votes in the February, which was a first for the program since the 2007-08 season.
Freshman
Logan Brown led Coppin with a 181.85 average in traditional matches this season, followed closely by junior
Kaylah Castillo who put up a 180.95. Sophomore
Sydney Tyler ranked third on the squad with a 178.35.
Castillo and
Aushia McLean led Coppin by rolling at least a 200 in five matches this season. Tyler had four matches with at least 200 pins.
The Eagles finished fifth in the MEAC behind 6
th-ranked North Carolina A&T, No. 13 Delaware State, 20
th-ranked Monmouth, and Alabama-Birmingham, who also received votes.
