Men’s Hoops to Appear on ESPNU Monday Night as Weekend Series Dates at Norfolk State are Altered

NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State men's basketball's weekend series at Norfolk State, originally scheduled for February 6-7, has been altered and will now be played on February 7-8.  Sunday's game will tipoff at 2 pm from Echols Hall while Monday's matchup will start at 7 pm and be televised nationally on ESPNU.
 
Anthony Tarke, a redshirt senior from Gaithersburg, Md., leads the Eagles in every statistical category and tops the MEAC in total points (275, 16.2 per game), rebounds (8.5), double-doubles (7), blocks (32, 1.9 per game) and steals (52, 3.06 per game).  A Lou Henson Award nominee, Tarke ranks third Nationally in steals and steals per game and eighth in free throw attempts.
 
DeJuan Clayton (15.3), Koby Thomas (12.2) and Kyle Cardaci (10.1) also average in double figures in scoring with Yuat Alok just under at 9.8 points per game. CSU will also get significant minutes from freshmen Nendah Tarke and Kenan Sarvan.
 
The Eagles swept a pair of games from the Spartans (9-6, 4-3 MEAC) in Baltimore on January 23-24, and currently hold a 6-11 overall record and a 5-3 mark in the MEAC, putting them a half game behind Morgan State for first place in the Northern Division.
