VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Amadou Ba and
Cheyenne Johnson went first and second, respectively in the 800m to highlight Coppin State men's track & field's second day at the Kenneth Giles NSU Invitational on Saturday at Virginia Beach Sports Center. This was the final indoor meet for the Eagles with the NCAA National Championships scheduled for March 11-13 in Fayetteville, Ark.
Ba took first in the half mile event, clocking a MEAC-best 1:52.64, followed by Johnson in 1:54.98.
The only other athlete to compete for Coppin State on the day were
Balvin Richards, who took second in the shot put with a toss of 43' 0.25," and
Abayie Opuni who took fourth in the 200m dash in 21.78.
