NORFOLK, Va. – For a second week in a row,
Tyree Corbett from the Coppin State men's basketball team was named MEAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon. This is the third time this season Corbett has won this award and he shares it with Kris Monroe from North Carolina Central.
A redshirt junior from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Corbett averaged 10.0 rebounds in two games during the week. Against George Washington, he had 12 rebounds along with 15 points. Three nights later, he had eight boards along with 16 points against Towson.
Corbett and the Eagles are back in action tonight taking on Drexel in Philadelphia. Game time is scheduled for 8 p.m.
