NORFOLK, Va. – Tyree Corbett from the Coppin State men's basketball team was named the MEAC Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the league office Tuesday evening.
Corbett averaged 10.3 rebounds and 1.7 blocks on the defensive end while adding averages of 11.0 points and 1.0 assists offensively as the Eagles defeated Loyola-Maryland before falling to Virginia and Cleveland State. He had a 15-point, 13-rebound double-double versus Loyola-Maryland as well as a 13-point, 13-rebound effort against Cleveland State.
The Eagles are back in action at Canisius on Wednesday, November 24 in the Koessler Athletic Center. Tip-off will begin at 7pm.
