Cross Country to Take Part in MEAC Championships on Friday Morning

CARY, N.C. – Coppin State's men's and women's cross country teams will compete in the 2021 MEAC Championships on Friday, October 29 at the WakeMed Soccer Park.  The championships will begin with the women's 5K race at 11 am, followed by the men's 8K at 11:45 am.

Women's Outlook
Coppin should be among the top teams with four Eagles ranked in the top 20 of the MEAC with their times this season.  Kamillah Monroque and Saidai Stuteley have led Coppin this season with season-best times of 20:38.4 and 20:49.7, respectively, set at Delaware State on October 15.  Jahmei Wyatt, Claudia Constantine and Latifa Ali should also be among the top runners for Coppin while Salomay Agyei and Abby Weiss could slide into the CSU scorers.
 
Men's Outlook
Amadou Ba is expected to lead Coppin in the 8K with fellow middle distance runners Randy Serville, Amiri Goode and Ivan Wiggins to follow.  Jervonne Agard and Abayie Opuni will compete for the fifth spot on the Eagles.
