NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State University's men's track & field program placed 14 individuals on the Academic All-MEAC Team, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon. To be eligible, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore and have recorded at least a 3.0 grade point average for the 2019-20 academic year.
On the men's side, Jervonne Agard, Joseph Amoah, Montaze Cooper, Jona Hanson, Nku Henry, Aaron Lewis, Joseph Manu, Forrest Miller, Abayie Opuni, Kymere Prtichett, Balvin Richards, Michael Scott, Yamoussa Sylla and Theodore Westcarr received Academic All-MEAC honors. Claudina Constantine, Jasmine Henery, Erika Hightower, Ivonna Hoskins, Erykah Jerome, Cathryn Lane, Kamillah Monroque and Janee Quailes received the accolades from the women's team.
"I want to congratulate our men's and women's tennis student-athletes, who maintained a 3.0 or better grade point average during the 2019-20 academic year," MEAC Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas said. "The ultimate goal is to develop and graduate our student-athletes to be productive citizens in our society."
