JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Coppin State's
Joseph Amoah ran the fastest time of the day in the prelims of the 100m dash (10.21) at the NCAA East Regionals Thursday night at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida.
Amoah's time was five-hundredths of a second faster than North Carolina A&T's Rodney Rowe and Hakim Sani Brown of Florida, who won their heat in 10.26.
Joseph Manu also competed in the 100m dash and finished 36
th overall in 10.60.
Amoah will be the top seed in the quarterfinals of the 100m dash on Friday, May 24 at 6:15 pm as well as the prelims of the 200m dash at 7:55 pm. Additionally,
Aaron Lewis will take part in the prelims of the 110m hurdles at 5:00 pm.
