PRINCETON, N.J. – Members of the Coppin State men's & women's track & field team competed at the ECAC/IC4A Championships over the weekend at Weaver Stadium on the campus of Princeton University.
On Saturday, the men's squad saw its 4x100m Relay of
Keshaun Hodges,
Malik John,
Theodore Westcarr and
Joseph Manu take the silver in 40.44.
Anija Addison also scored points for the Eagles, shaving his personal record in the 800m to 1:50.47, good for seventh overall.
Michael Scott just missed out on scoring in the long jump, placing 9
th with a leap of 22-5'.
Competing for the women's team on Saturday was the 4x100m Relay of
Randi Bohler,
Ivonna Hoskins,
Jasmine Henery and
Cathryn Lane, and the combo clocked a season-best time of 47.31 which was a season-best.
Tatiana Ogundeko also gutted out a 2:11.91 in the 800m Run, finishing 20
th overall.
Sunday featured the Eagles running in several sprint and field events. John placed seventh in the 200m dash in 21.87, just ahead of Westcarr's 10
th place performance (22.04). John also clocked a 10.81 in the 100m dash, with Westcarr and Hodges finishing in 10.95 and 11.14, respectively.
On the women's side, Bohler clocked a 14.54 in the 100m hurdles to finish 15
th while
Alanna Newby threw the shot put 39-7.75'.
To close out the weekend, the women's 4x400m Relay of Lane, Hoskins,
Janee Quailes and Ogundeko won their heat and finished second overall in 3:52.67. The men's combo of Addison,
Joseph Amoah, John and
Abayie Opuni placed sixth in 3:21.20.
