GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Joseph Amoah made his return to the track as he led Coppin State at the Pepsi Florida Relays over the weekend at Percy Beard Track.
Amoah clocked a 21.12 in the 200m dash to finish 12
th overall. He also anchored the 4x100m Relay to a time of 40.31 along with
Joseph Manu,
Theodore Westcarr and
Aaron Lewis. Amoah also ran a leg of the 4x400m Relay to a time of 3:13.53 along with
Abayie Opuni,
Malik John and
Anija Addison.
Coppin also competed in the 4x200m Relay with Manu, John, Westcarr and
Keshaun Hodges clocking a 1:25.96.
Addison and
Cheyenne Johnson both recorded personal-records in individual events. Addison finished the 800m in 1:50.48 while Johnson covered the 400m hurdles in 53.70.
Four others ran in the 200m dash led by John who finished his CSU debut in 21.50. He was followed by Manu (21.69), Westcarr (22.05) and Hodges (23.15).
Finally, in the 110m hurdles, Lewis finished in 14.47.
Next on the docket for Coppin State is a local trip to the Towson Invitational on Saturday, April 6.
