Ashley Cook announced the release of the Eagles' 2020 schedule on Wednesday afternoon. The 45-game docket includes 17 games to be played at home, with Saint Peter's, Colgate, North Dakota and Mount St. Mary's making non-conference trips to the West Baltimore campus.
The Eagles open the season at College of Charleston's Holy City Showdown on February 28 through March 1 with Coppin taking on Tennessee-Chattanooga, Charleston Southern for a pair of games, Campbell and Maine.
After returning home, CSU will make a crosstown trip for a doubleheader at UMBC on March 4 before its home opener against the Peacocks on March 11.
A quick trip to Delaware on March 14 precedes a seven-game homestand starting with twinbills against the Raiders (March 16) and the Fighting Hawks (March 18) before a MEAC-opening three-game series against Bethune-Cookman on March 21-22.
Following the conference opener, the Eagles embark on their longest road trip of the season with trips to Mount St. Mary's (March 24), Howard (March 28-29), Fairleigh Dickinson (March 31) and Drexel (April 2) before returning home for a three-game MEAC series against Delaware State on April 4-5.
On Wednesday, April 8, Coppin travels South for a doubleheader against former conference rival Hampton with Mount St. Mary's returning the home-and-home series with the Eagles on April 14.
Coppin heads to Maryland Eastern Shore (April 18-19) and Saint Peter's (April 23) prior to hosting South Carolina State (April 25-26) for Senior Day.
CSU closes out the regular season at archrival Morgan State (May 1-2) in hopes to qualify for their fourth-straight MEAC Tournament in Ormond Beach, Fla., which is set for May 7-10.
