STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Joseph Amoah won the 200m Dash with a time of 21.18 in the second day of the Penn State National Open Saturday afternoon. This was the first time this season that Amoah has competed in the 200m Dash.
Amoah was not the only impressive Eagles runner for the day as
Joseph Manu clocked a 22.05 in the same 200m Dash to finish ninth overall. Amoah's time is currently third in the MEAC and 33
rd Nationally.
Anija Addison and
Cheyenne Johnson also had great performances in the 800m Run. Addison finished 11
th overall in 1:53.29 while Johnson clocked a 1:57.85. Addison's time is was an indoor personal-record and is currently the second-fastest in the MEAC while Johnson just missed his PR.
Elsewhere for the Eagles,
Elijah Noel leaped 21' 6" in the long jump,
Balvin Richards tossed the shot put 47' 4.25" and
Justin Turner finished the 400m Dash in 52.28.
Coppin returns to the track on Saturday, February 2 at Boston University's Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational.
