EUGENE, Ore. – Coppin State's
Joseph Amoah finished in 13
th place in the 200m Dash with a time of 20.60 at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon on Wednesday night.
A sophomore from Greater Accra, Ghana, Amoah took sixth in his heat from lane eight, just ahead of Nicholar Alexander of Houston and Baylor's Maxwell Willis. Kendal Williams of Georgia won the heat in 20.23 which was the fastest time of all three heats. Four runners, including Williams, from Amoah's heat qualified for the finals with LSU's Jaron Flourney, Divine Oduduru of Texas Tech and Arkansas' Kenzo Cotton.

Aaron Lewis competed in the 110m hurdles but did not finish.

This concludes an impressive season for the sophomore sensations as both set numerous school records during the 2017-18 season. Amoah set outdoor records in the 100m Dash (10.20) and 200m Dash (20.38w) and was accompanied by Lewis on the record-setting 4x100m Relay (39.73). Lewis shattered his own school-record in the 110m hurdles several times this season and holds a personal-record 13.64 in the event.
