STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Joseph Amoah won the 60m dash to highlight the Coppin State men's track & field team's day at the Fast Track Season Opener at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Saturday afternoon. Amoah's time of 6.72 matched his own school-record and was 27-hundredths of a second faster than his closest competitor.
Anija Addison was the only other Eagles athlete to earn a top five finish as he took fifth overall and third among collegiate runners in the 800m Run (1:59.75).
Placing in the top ten in their events were
Elijah Noel in the long jump (21' 8", 6

Balvin Richards in the shot put (48' 10.75", 6
th),
Tyrek Goy in the high jump (6' 0.5", 9
th) and
Theodore Westcarr in the 200m Dash (22.73, 9
th).

The Eagles return to the track in 2019 when they compete at the HBCU Battle at The Armory in New York City on Friday, January 11.
