Coppin played even with the Mountaineers for a majority of the first half but with WVU clinging to a 18-17 lead after a jumper by
Karonn Davis with 5:19 left, Teddy Allen (24 points) converted on a rare-four point play, sparking a 9-0 run.
A free throw by Davis stopped the scoreless streak but Coppin was held without a point for the final 4:22 as the Mountaineers went into the half with a 42-18 lead and never looked back.
